Plotting, Protection, and Providence (Acts 22:22-23:35)

Acts Sermon Series at Elmira Christian Center

All of Scripture testifies to the fact that behind every circumstance—behind every action and even the smallest of our daily activities—our God is working to unite all things in Jesus Christ, all for the good of his people and the glory of his holy name. This is the doctrine of providence, a work of love by our good, wise, and sovereign God that ensures our fellowship with him. In this sermon, Mitch Bedzyk shows that in the face of trials and opposition to the gospel, we can trust and rejoice in the providence of God. This passage from Acts reminds us that not only is God with us, but that he is for us, even when we can’t see him. And as we begin a new year filled many challenges and uncertainties, this is good news that we would do well to orient our lives around.
