The good news, which we marveled at in Ephesians 2:1-10, profoundly alters the way we understand who the people of God truly are. The Ephesians were uncircumcised Gentiles, not circumcised Jews. They were not the physical descendants of Abraham. In fact, they were “alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world” (Eph. 2:12). However, because of their union with Christ, because they were now members of the new covenant by grace through faith, God has brought both Jew and Gentile near to himself. In this sermon, Pastor Leandre explains the wonderful truth of our reconciliation to God – our access the Father in one Spirit (Eph. 2:18) – and its implications for our lives today.
