Spirit-Filled Submission (Eph. 6:1-9)

Continuing to describe the practical outworking of being filled with the Spirit, namely, “submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ” (Eph. 5:21), Paul applies the gospel to the relationships between children and their parents, as well as slaves (employees) and their masters (employers). In these relationship, believers are radically called to be obedient, kind, gracious, sincere, loyal, diligent, and loving. Why? Not to earn the praise of man, but the praise of God; because we have been with saved by grace, have been bought with a price, and now belong to Christ. In this sermon, Pastor Matt demonstrates how our relationships are transformed by the gospel of grace, and explains what Spirit-filled submission looks like in the life of a believer.
