After two years, we have concluded our study through the book of Acts, the second part of Luke’s two-volume account of the gospel of Jesus Christ and its impact in the world. Our goal throughout this sermon series has been to keep the spotlight where it needs to be: on our sovereign, faithful, and gracious God and the gospel of his crucified, risen, and exalted Son. This is why we entitled this series, “The Acts of the Risen Lord Jesus,” because Acts is all about what Jesus accomplished through the witness of his people in the power of his Spirit, all to fulfill God’s promises and purposes for the world. In this sermon, Mitch Bedzyk shows how the acts of the risen Lord Jesus not only give the church confidence for living in the last days but serve as fuel for our worship and witness in the world.
