The world tells us that the good life is to be found in financial security, physical fitness, beauty, sex, loving relationships (however we define them), and other comforts. To be sure, these things can bring us happiness. Yet many of us know that such happiness is fleeting. True satisfaction is always one job, drink, or relationship away. Why? Because we were created for something more than this world and its joys can offer. Our hearts are restless until they find true and lasting rest in fellowship with God and his Son by the Spirit. In this sermon, Pastor Matt teaches that the gospel is the promise of abundant life through faith in Jesus. The good life, the blessed life, is only found when one repents and receives eternal life by grace through faith in the risen Lord Jesus.
