Christians are those who believe that Jesus is the risen King. He was enthroned on a cross through the suffering of death yet was raised in victory three days later. Now, exalted as Lord and Savior, he grants forgiveness and eternal life to all who call on his name in faith; by grace, he welcomes unworthy sinners into God’s kingdom under his saving rule. But Christians are those who not only believe this to be true, but also live and suffer like this is true, and proclaim this good news to the nations. In this sermon, Pastor Matt explains that whether his word is rejected or received, Jesus is the risen King we must proclaim. The gospel of his kingdom is not simply an invitation to ignore but a divine summons to obey, and he demands a response from the world.
