The book of Acts is not just the story of how the risen Lord Jesus built and established his church, but also how he continued to build up and strengthen his church through his Word of grace. We see this especially in Paul’s ministry of encouragement as be would revisit the churches he had planted to water them with the Word. He knew that the church was always in danger of withering away, of growing weary, and he knew the solution was gospel encouragement. In this sermon, Pastor Matt Bedzyk teaches that the church must be encouraged if we are to hold fast the confession of our hope and maintain our gospel witness. Believers need to be strengthened in the faith and strengthen others in the faith, if we are to continue to trust and serve King Jesus.
