The Apostle Paul has already described our Christian walk as being one characterized by good works , full of the love of Christ, and luminous with the light of the glory of God; this is how we are to fulfill the command to walk worthy of our calling (Eph. 2:10; 4:1; 5:2; 5:8). Continuing this description, he now explains how the church, living in a dark world in evil days, is to walk carefully in wisdom and in an understanding of the will of God. But what precisely does the text mean when it gives such commands? How can we keep from walking as “unwise”? How can we know God’s will? In this sermon, Pastor Tim looks across the pages of Scripture to give a clear understanding of how we can obtain wisdom and come to know the will of God not just for the future, but for our lives today.
