We know that forty days after his resurrection, and after appearing to over 500 people, Jesus ascended into heaven to the right hand of the Father. He now intercedes for us and will one day return in glory. But, with Jesus no longer physically in our midst, how can we know that Jesus is truly alive today? How can we be sure that Jesus really was who he said he was, without the proof before our eyes? Far too often, we lose sight of the living hope and inheritance that we posses in Jesus Christ, living as though our crucified Lord was not alive. In this sermon, Pastor Matt teaches that by the illumination of the Spirit, and with the eyes of faith, we can encounter the risen Christ today in both his word and his church.
