Of all the psalms in the Old Testament, it is Psalm 110 that is the most often quoted and alluded to by the authors of the New Testament. This enthronement psalm is centered on and fulfilled by Christ, who, having taken on the form of a servant and humbling himself to death on a cross, was subsequently resurrected and exalted to the right hand of God the Father as King of kings and Lord of lords (Php. 2:6-11). And now, in these last days, Jesus is ruling in the midst of his enemies, steadily defeating them through the gospel witness of the church. In this sermon, Pastor Matt explains how Christ is both our exalted King, seated at the right hand of the Majesty in the heavens, and our faithful and eternal Priest, who secures our salvation and intercedes for us.
