Riches for the World and Life from the Dead (Romans 11:7-15)

In Romans 11 Paul is ramping up to the climax of his discussion of Israel and the gospel. He lays out the future salvation of Israel and how God is even using their unbelief to accomplish his plans for the world. In this sermon, pastor Mitch reminds us that Israel’s hardening and rejection is neither total nor final and that God’s gracious plan of salvation for the world is better than we can imagine. Yes, this passage reminds us that God is faithful, just, patient, abounding in mercy to Jews and Gentiles. But what  it also shows us how God’s plans are far better than anything we can come up with. And like a Father giving gifts to his children, he’s full of surprises and untold riches.
