Here at ECC, we are committed to connecting our community to Christ. While we certainly do this as individuals by preaching the gospel and loving our neighbors, making disciples of all nations is to happen through, and in the context of, the local church! Jesus said that he would build his church—a church of those who not only profess faith in him as Savior and Lord, but who also live out that profession of faith daily as part of a community of faith. The church, the citizens of the kingdom of heaven, is how the world knows who represents Jesus. In this sermon, Pastor Matt considers the final piece of our church’s mission statement and demonstrates how the church preserves its gospel witness in the world through membership and discipline.
