One of the constant dangers that Christians face is believing that the gospel which they received is not enough for them. This can cause us to move beyond Christ in order to gain some sort of deeper spiritual knowledge or greater fulness of God through a spiritual growth program not rooted in Christ. In this sermon, pastor Bryan Winchester of Saving Grace Church in Milwaukie, Oregon looks at the preeminence of Christ in Paul’s letter to the Colossians to remind us that Christ’s sufficiency is grounded in his supremacy. Because Christ as the firstborn of all creation and the firstborn of the dead, we must continue in the faith and hope of the gospel which we heard.
