As Abraham and Isaac journeyed up the mountain in the land of Moriah, Isaac asked: “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” (Gen. 22:7). By faith, Abraham responded that God would provide for himself the lamb. Few, if any, could comprehend that centuries later a child would be born, a son would be give (Isa. 9:6-7), who would be that sacrificial lamb. When John the Baptist saw Jesus approaching him, he exclaimed: “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). In this sermon, Pastor Dave explains how Jesus is the Lamb of God, who came to bring God to man and man to God through his life, death, an resurrection.
