Andrew Peterson has given the church another powerful song to celebrate the exaltation of the Lord Jesus Christ. This call-and-response song is based on John’s vision in Revelation of the One who is worthy to break the seal and open the scroll (Revelation 5). In fact, the book of Revelation gives us one of the most clear and stunning pictures of the deity and centrality of Jesus in all of Scripture.
As we look around at the brokenness and darkness in the world that sees to be growing by the day, may this song remind us of the glory, power, wisdom, and goodness of our triune God, the salvation He accomplished, and the promise that He is making all things new.
