Two thousand years ago, before Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father, he promised his disciples: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Though the church of Christ started out as a small mustard seed in Jerusalem, it has since grown into the largest tree of the garden of the earth, bearing much fruit and offering life to all. In this sermon, Keith Ryoo reveals that it is the trustworthy Messiah who is advancing his gospel throughout the whole world and building his church. The risen Lord Jesus does this in his all-wise providence, through the preaching of his trustworthy message, and by the preservation of his people.
