In proclaiming to the known world the inexhaustible and unsearchable riches of Christ Jesus in the wondrous mystery of the gospel, the Apostle Paul served an extraordinary purpose. His calling, to be a minister of the good news, was “so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known . . . according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Eph. 3:10-11). Far from being unimportant and non-essential (as it is often viewed today), the church is an integral part of redemptive history and God’s sovereign purposes. In this sermon, Pastor Leandre explores the concept of the manifold wisdom of God and explains how, through the church, God is working all things for the glory of his name alone.
