Facing the Future with Hope (Isaiah 8:11-22)

Isaiah - sermon series at Elmira Christian Center

Feelings of fear, anxiety, uncertainty, and insecurity abound in our world today. It seems as though everywhere we look there is another tragic news headline reminding us just how dark this world really is. Along with the many tragedies and acts of violence we experience come conspiracy theories, finger-pointing, and growing animosity between neighbors, political parties, and nations. What hope, if any, can we have in such darkness? The answer is the dawn of God’s redeeming grace in Jesus Christ. In this sermon, Mitch Bedzyk reveals that those who fear the Lord and treasure his Word can face the future with hope. There are certain marks that distinguish true believers from unbelievers, and it all comes down to our attitude towards God, his Word, and his Christ.
