Continuing his teaching on how we are to treat our enemies, Jesus unfolds further what it looks like to truly love others. Those who expect others to not be judgmental, condemning, or unforgiving, yet fail to extend grace and forgiveness themselves are hypocrites. Only those who have come to know the gospel of the kingdom—of the King who conquered death with his love, of the God who mercifully reconciles his enemies to himself by the death of his Son—can break free from the cycle of bitterness, hatred, and retaliation and walk in love. In this sermon, Pastor Dave explains how those who have received forgiveness by grace through faith in Christ ought to be overflowing with forgiveness towards others, walking in step with the truth of the gospel.
