Our Refuge and Strength (Ps. 46:1-7)

Martin Luther, in commenting on the beautiful truths of this Psalm, wrote: “We sing this psalm to the praise of God, because He is with us and powerfully and miraculously preserves and defends His church and His word against all fanatical spirits, against the gates of hell, against the implacable hatred of the devil, and against all the assaults of the world, the flesh, and sin.” Though the world may fall into chaos, and though evil may appear to triumph all around us, we nevertheless may rest assured that our faithful God is our rock and strong tower. In this sermon, Pastor Dave expounds the first seven verses of Psalm 46, demonstrating that God’s people, his church, can never be moved since we are firmly established and secure in Christ.
