The title of Psalm 52 tells us this psalm is a meditation of David “when Doeg, the Edomite, came and told Saul, ‘David has come to the house of Ahimelech.’” This psalm gives us the ending to Doeg’s story. It assures us of what awaits all those who stand against the Lord and his anointed, but also encourages those who make the Lord their refuge.
In this sermon, pastor Mitch reminds us that despite the plans of the wicked, those who trust in the Lord will flourish. The mighty man who refuses to make God his refuge will be uprooted, but the godly who rejoice in his steadfast love will be vindicated and blessed.
