Isaiah foretold that the people who lived in darkness would one day see a great light. We didn’t ask for it; we couldn’t have imagined it; and we did not deserve it. And yet, unto us a child was born, and a Son was given. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who came into the world, bringing light and life to all who believe in him. But he didn’t come simply to make us see the light of his truth and grace; he came to bring us into the light, to walk in the light, and to spread the light. The New Testament repeatedly calls Christians to shine the light of Christ while we endure the dark before the Dawn.
