Psalm 78 could be called a hymn for the home – that is, this psalm reminds us that it is the responsibility of parents, family members, and even the covenant community, by God’s grace to teach our children about His holiness, His great and awesome deeds, and instruct them to trust and obey the Lord wholeheartedly. In this sermon, delivered on Mother’s Day, Pastor Dave shows us that all moms, whether biological or not, have a crucial role to play in not only loving and caring for her children, but training them to “set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments” (Psalm 78:6-7).
