Justified by Faith, Not By Works (Gal 2:15-17)

The doctrine of justification by faith is at the very heart of the Christian gospel. Paul lays this out clearly in his epistle to the Romans: “None is righteous, no, not one. . . Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.” (Rom. 3:10, 19-22). In this sermon, Pastor Leandre explains the relationship between justification, good works and our sanctification, and how our salvation is a gift of God’s grace for his glory alone.
