Jesus is David’s root, David’s descendant, and Jacob’s star. In other words, he is the eternal God, the incarnate Son, and the exalted Lord.

The truth that the eternal Son of God became flesh and dwelt among us is at the very heart of the Christian faith and is the greatest mystery of the gospel.

While Advent is a time to celebrate his birth, it is primarily a time of waiting in hopeful expectation for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
